According to Wikipedia, açai isn’t quite the marvel of anti-0xidization that the folks at the Equinox smoothie bar would have me believe. Indeed, as is evident from the Starbucks-esque ubiquity of açai purveyors in Brazil, smoothies made from frozen açai pulp and guarana syrup are a popular (read: delicious! refreshing! tangy!) way to get one’s daily fix of caffeine.
