Sesame TVP Wrap with Spicy Peanut Sauce and Thai Salad
I think it’s safe to assume that many of the staff at vegetarian and vegan restaurants follow the same lifestyle as the cuisine, and that observation alone has always been an influence on my opinion. Most of the time those people just look rather ill! Obviously the other extreme isn’t healthy either- I’m definitely not advocating that people eat big steaks all the time- but seriously, how can anyone get excited over food that is made of something called ”Textured Vegetable Protein?”

Isn’t TVP what the Chinese call ‘gluten’?? I LOVE THAT STUFF.
No, “gluten” is also called seitan. This TVP stuff is different. I’m not saying either of these things are bad- it’s just weird to have a whole diet based on them! Where’s the thrill?
[...] I’ve mentioned before that the people who run vegetarian and vegan restaurants often appear fairly malnourished: case in point Vitaorganic. If you ever wondered how hipsters fit into those skinny, skinny jeans, veganism is probably how some of them do it. [...]
